The 1st UMA3 Summer School on "Powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing" has been successfully held on May 31st-June 2nd 2022, at Fraunhofer IFAM in Bremen, Germany. The summer school has been part of the overall UMA3 training and educational activities aimed at improving the theoretical and practical knowledge of young and early stage researchers from UNIMI-FMSE. In addition to the several informative presentations and activities realized, site visits at AIRBUS and MATERIALISE also took place.
A 2nd UMA3 Summer School has already been confirmed and will be held on September 26th-28th 2022, at the University of Patras, Greece, on "Metal Matrix Composites". The latter will be followed by a 2-days Strategic Workshop at UPATRAS on the topic of "Simulation Tools for Materials". Stay tuned, as more information on that will follow shortly!
