The UMA3 project and its research results on optimizing the sustainability of the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) process, were proudly presented during the 13th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space for Opening New Horizons". The Event took place last week in Salerno, Italy, at the Fisciano Campus of the University of Salerno, from September 5th until 8th, 2023. As expected, the EASN Conference was a major European Dissemination and Exploitation event of Aviation & Space related research projects, as well as also gave the floor to several policy development projects to present the strategic priorities of the European aviation sector.
UMA3 joined the session on “ecoDESIGN and Engineering for Sustainability” which took place during the 2nd day of the Conference, on September 6th, 2023, at 13:45-15:45. The UMA3 presentation, successfully delivered by the UMA3 partner Dr. Dionysios Markatos (University of Patras), was titled “Enhancing Sustainability in Laser Powder Bed Fusion: Optimization of Process Parameters for 17-4 PH Steel”.
