The second session of the UMA3 Local Individual Scientific Training (TLIS) has successfully taken place virtually, today, December 14th, 2021. In the frame of Day 2, four engaging presentations on the hot topic of “Additive manufacturing for aerospace materials” were given by members of the UMA3 consortium (i.e. UniMi, UniBo, Fraunhofer-IFAM and LTSM). Specifically, issues such as: ‘Powder metallurgy for advanced aerospace materials’, ‘Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Al alloys for the transports sector’, ‘Sinter-based AM’ and ‘Simulation of the SLM process for cellular materials and topology optimization’ were presented and discussed.
Tomorrow, December 15th, the 3rd and final day of the Local Individual Scientific Training will focus on “Modelling and simulation, testing of materials”. Stay tuned for more!
