The UMA3 project and its research results on optimizing the sustainability of the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) process, were proudly presented during the 13^th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space for Opening New Horizons". The Event took place last week in Salerno, Italy, at the Fisciano Campus of the University of Salerno, from September 5^th until 8^th, 2023.

UMA3 and its research results focused on optimizing the sustainability of the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) process, will be presented at the upcoming 13th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space for Opening New Horizons". This event is scheduled to take place in Salerno, Italy, from September 5th to 8th, 2023. The Conference venue is situated at the Fisciano Campus of the University of Salerno.

The UMA3 2-days strategic foresight Workshop on “Key Enabling Technologies and Innovation Trends for Bettering the Competitiveness in Aerospace Industry” will take place in a hybrid format across 12 and 13 of July 2023, at Hotel Real Colegiata San Isidoro, in León, Spain. The Workshop, which is organized by UMA3 partner ICAMCYL, will also be broadcasted virtually via online streaming. The final agenda and link for accessing the UMA3 Workshop can be found here.

The UMA3 project and some of its major outcomes were successfully presented during the 7^th International Conference of Engineering Against Failure (ICEAF VII) that was held across June 21–23, 2023, at the Anargyrios and Korgialenios School of Spetses on the Saronic island of Spetses, Greece.

The second EASN periodic Newsletter for 2023 has just been released, covering updates on the recent undertakings of the European Aviation & Space community, as well as on some of the topmost news and upcoming events.

We are happy to announce the UMA3 joint 2-days Event on "TRAINING & KNOWLEGE TRANSFER ACTIVITIES - Complementary/transferable Skills - Advanced Training", with dinner and networking opportunities, to be held in June 5th and 6th, 2023 in Hamburg, Germany, at the ZAL premises.

We had the pleasure to participate in the 12^th EASN International Conference on Innovation in Aviation and Space for opening New Horizons, which was held last week in Barcelona, Spain, from the 18^th until the 21^st of October 2022. The Conference included a large number of Plenary Talks by distinguished personalities of the European aviation and space sectors from the academia, industry, research community, and policy-makers; as well as Thematic Sessions and Technical Workshops.
