Read on to find out more about the UMA3 highlights, topmost news of the sector and major upcoming events, including our participation at the upcoming 12^th EASN International Conference on “Innovation in Aviation & Space for opening New Horizons” to be held in Barcelona, Spain from the 18^th to 21^st of October 2022.

It is with great pleasure to announce that the 2^nd UMA3 Summer School, this time on “Lightweight alloys and MMCs for aerospace”, is planned to take place on September 26^th-28^th, 2022, at the University of Patras, Greece. The summer school is part of the overall UMA3 training and educational activities aimed at improving the theoretical and practical knowledge of young and early stage researchers from UNIMI-FMSE.

The UMA3 Workshop on "Boosting International Synergies in Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Industry: Technology trends and new business opportunities forum" has been held successfully today, Wednesday June 22nd, 2022; in Parque Technologico de Leon, Spain. The event, which has been organized by the UMA3 partner ICAMCYL, was also broadcasted virtually via online streaming on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5X2pb9-oao

An UMA3 Seminar on "Innovative technologies and industrial synergies: Matching the current aerospace industry with technology trends" has been organized by UMA3 partner ICAMCYL and will take place (Online from Leon, Spain) on June 23^rd 2022. Several very interesting presentations on the topic are planned to be given by distinguished representatives.

The event, which is organized by the UMA3 partner ICAMCYL, will also be broadcasted virtually via online streaming.

The 1^st UMA3 Summer School on "Powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing" has been successfully held on May 31^st-June 2^nd 2022, at Fraunhofer IFAM in Bremen, Germany. The summer school has been part of the overall UMA3 training and educational activities aimed at improving the theoretical and practical knowledge of young and early stage researchers from UNIMI-FMSE. In addition to the several informative presentations and activities realized, site visits at AIRBUS and MATERIALISE also took place.

The May edition of the EASN periodic electronic newsletter has landed! The UMA3 project is featured with a dedicated article presenting the project’s latest activities, news and progress.
